Swamp Warrior
MY LITTLE WORLD OF ZAR

Jacara Zar was first created in 1990. I was looking at the pages of Swamp Thing by Alan Moore drawn by John Tottleben. It was a Jackboxer character as told in the caption with all the mask and goggles. I'v been a fan on the art of Swamp Thing, which back then was the only issue I had.

I started drawing the character until I wanted to create my own comics based on fantasy and my favorite movies. "Mandirigma Ng Latian" (Swamp Warrior) was created.

My idea of the drawing was really based on the Jackboxer until Jacara Zar evolved into all sorts of designs.

In 2010, I published my third, little ashcan comics called Yew Stupid Basturd! #3, which featured an entire issue of Jacara Zar #1. Joined me as my editor was Nikko Sansolis. Eventually, I became very serious, realising it is time to publish a real printed version of Jacara Zar. In November 2011, Jacara Zar #1 was published!

A year has skipped after my wife delivered our first baby until April 2013 Jacara Zar #2 with a gatefold cover. Joining me this time was good friend Robin C. Rivero. Big thanks to Andrew Villar of Ambush comics for making my first dream cover.
